About This Item

London : Macmillan and Co, 1929. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 5" x 7.5. 203 pages. A lovely selection of poems by William Butler Yates published in this format for the first time in 1929 including some previously unpublished material. There is an illustration of Yeats from an engraving by Sargent on the title page. Blue cloth covered boards with embossed decoration to the front, gilt lettering to the spine and gilt top edges to the pages. In clean and sound condition apart from a rust mark from a paper clip to the top of the page between the front free end paper and the half title page. The erratum slip is present. Slight wear / bumping to the edges of the boards. Included with this copy is a hand-written letter on "The Nation" letterhead requesting a review of the book and signed by Frank Gallagher of Irish nationalism fame. Also a newspaper clipping of a review. All orders processed and shipped promptly from the UK. Please call or email with any questions. Not available for economy shipping outside the UK. 5"x7.5
