Description:
Tucson, AZ: Peggy and Ben Sackheim, 1987.. Illustrated Chapbook, 5" x 4.5", Oblong. French Folded Sheet, Art Paper with Deckled Edge, 4 pp. Very Good+. First Edition. One of 26 lettered copies, this numbered "O". Signed by authors. Herb Yellin (1935-2014) was the highly respected publisher and founder of Lord John Press, considered by many to be one of the most important small presses of the 20th century. His close personal relationships with many significant writers resulted in an impressive number of unique, collectible, signed limited edition books. Working with some of modern literature's biggest names—Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, John Updike, Eudora Welty, and Joyce Carol Oates among them—and entertaining his personal fascination with Hollywood, Yellin was able to create a new realm for Lord John Press combining the two fields; several books, including The Lord John Film Festival, were the result.
