About This Item

Camden, ME: International Marine Publishing Company, 1972. Presumed First Edition, First printing. Hardcover. Good/Good. Richard Henderson. xi, [1], 307, [1] pages. Frontis illustrations. Illustrations. Appendixes. Index. DJ has some wear, soiling, tears, and ships. Some ink marks to text, rear endpaper, and DJ flap noted. The author was a sailor with many years experience in a wide variety of small craft. While he has shown he can drive a boat nearly to her limit when the occasion demands, we is by nature a conservative man. He is meticulous in the ways he runs a boat and in the way he writes. He follows the details of a situation to a conclusion. He is also an artist; his diagrams and drawings illustrate clearly the points he makes in the text.
