About This Item

Click Publishing Company, 1958. Very Good. Vol. 4 No. 5, April; quarto, 35c cover price, 50pp, b/w throughout, color wrapper, saddle-stapled. Vintage oversize tabloid magazine devoted to news, entertainment, cartoons, reader forum, non-nude pinups, sensationalism. Seemingly undocumented series; became "Scene for Men" by June 1959. A leftover tabloid published by noted comic book writer Woolfolk during the wrong decade that still managed to feature work by prominent photographers. Eve Meyer cover/vig/6pp (2 color), immigration inspectors, Robert Preston "Music Man", love quiz, campus sword fighting, Archie Moore, crime scenes, matador Pablo Arruga, Italian women, jaguar hunt, illusionist Rich Hardy, banned films, James Garner, Jeanne Mann 1pp, vignettes (Sophia Loren & Jayne Mansfield, Vikki Dougan, Gloria Pall, Maila Nurmi, Natalia Daryll, Helen Portello, Loretta Capitoli, Gina Lollobrigida, Silvana Mangano, Silvana Pampanini, Antonella Lualdi, Irene Cefaro, Marissa Teresa Vianello, Maria Rau, Roberta Lizzi), ads (Doubleday One Dollar Book Club). Very Good Plus, brief pencil to front, light toning and spine stress.
