Rear panel of jacket shows A3696 which is what first edition acetate jacket shows. Book Club version shows "0360" on back. Also text on first dustwrapper starts 1/4" from top of front flap while Book Club starts 3/4" from the top. This jacket starts 1/4" from top. This is not a Book club edition. No blind stamp on back cover right corner. Priceclipped. 2nd Printing stated on copyright page. . 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Synopsis
The Scarlatti Inheritance is the first of 25 novels written by American author Robert Ludlum. The political thriller involves espionage and international secrets, two themes that Ludlum favored in later novels as well, such as The Bourne Identity (1980). Many of Ludlum’s novels have been made into films and mini-series. However, The Scarlatti Inheritance was never made into a film, despite the fact the rights were sold and scripts were worked on.
