About This Item
1921. SMITH, Wade C. SAY, FELLOWS. Fifty Practical Talks With Boys On Life's Big Issues. NY/Chicago: Fleming H. Revell Co., [1921]. Small 8vo., pictorial tan cloth, stamped in green & brown. First Edition. Signed presentation from Smith on the front endpaper: "To John Stam. `Where'er the prizes go, Grant me its struggle, That my soul may grow! Dec. 25, 1930. Sincerely Wade C. Smith. 2: Tim.2:4." Smith also draws a stick-figure soldier on the same page. Instructional book for boys adapted from the author's weekly column in "The Sunday School Times." Although this book was recently reprinted (and is quite expensive) the first edition is difficult to locate. Very Good (nice covers, evidence of bookplate removed from the front pastedown & "Library of First Baptist Church, Worthington, Minn." neatly stamped at the base of the title page; tiny nick to the edge of pp. 159/160). $175.00.
