At the beginning of the text there is a double page map showing areas spoken about within the text, a pronunciation guide to some Huaorani names, acknowledgements and bibliography. 1/4 rust coloured cloth covered backstrip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 rust coloured boards with gilt coloured author's embossed initials to the front panel. Photographic dustwrapper with white, black and dark purple coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the backstrip black-and-white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. The story how Huaorani Warriors from the Amazonian basin, in Ecuador, protected their territory against the encroachment by oil companies, missionaries and environmentalists. A little softening of the backstrip corners and rubbing of the top corners. Ruffling of the dustwrapper top edge and rubbing of the panels. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
