Original decorative cloth, title and author in gilt to spine, upper cover with blocked map of Caucasia with Svanetia in gilt, all within a gilt double fillet border, lower cover with blind stamped bear skin rug. Lightly rubbed to extremities. Internally, front inner joints very slightly weak, light off-setting from frontispieces onto titles, paper flaw to foot of B1 in volume one, otherwise quite bright and clean. Two tissue guarded frontispieces and six other illustrations as called for. Uncommon. First Edition. Hardback. Very Good. 8vo.
