New York: William B. Gilley, No. 92 Broadway., 1822. First American edition. Wraps. Fair. 155 pages + 2 blank rear endpapers. 3 3/4 X 5 3/4 in. high. 1st Am. Edition. Condition of the book is FAIR; Appears to have once been a hardback book, now missing covers & spine. Certainly could be rebound. Title page and all text present, front endpapers missing. Is now covered in card wraps. (Note on cover of wraps by P.O. Victor Lange 'To be dedicated to Goethe. B's dedication had long been written, but not printed due to mistake by publ. Murray'. Occasional foxing throughout the text, all still very legible. Although covers & spine gone, binding is tight- no cracks or looseness. Rare Ephemera RGR.
