Cincinnati, Ohio: Proctor & Gamble. 1928. Pamphlet. This vintage cookbook is in fair to good condition with a damp stain to the lower edges of all pages. It is the heaviest on the front cover and first page. It runs an inch deep. The spine has been repaired, and the covers are reattached at the inside hinges. A 5 by 7 inch, 64-page pamphlet. See Photos; Comments: Sarah Field Splint was the Editor for the Food Department at McCall's Magazine, Associate Editor of The Delineator, and Editor of The Woman's magazine. She was, during World War I, Chief of the Division of Home Conservation in the U. S. Food Administration. The cookbook contains recipes using Crisco shortening. There are chapters on Deep Fat Frying, Soups, Cereals, Cheese, Eggs, Fish, Meat and Poultry, Vegetables, Sauces, Quick Bread, Salad Dressings and Accompaniments, Cakes and Cookies, Pastry, Desserts, and Sauces; Photographs.
