Illustrator: Photographic. 350 g; X, 150 pages, last three pages blank, eight pages of black-and-white photography, half a page of musical notation, Photographic illustrated dust jacket. Shows faint traces of foxing to the front edge of the text block, but is otherwise sound and clean. The dust jacket is foxed on the underside, has a 0.5 inch tear with creasing at the top right of the rear panel and is rubbed across both the top and bottom edges. . The author went to sea when the sailing ship's days were numbered. In fact he was only 19 when his last chip ran before the wind. This is his story, a life under steam.
