Both front and rear boards are separating from the text block - but still intact. ; Rebound in full , thick leather, with gilt lettering and borders on spine. Patterned endpapers. Text is mostly tight and fairly clean - no markings or writing. A survey map of North Chincha Island, and two tables are in the text. Rare. Charles Darwin was associated with the authors in the past. "With this edition, Captain P. P. King's Directions for Patagonia and for the Strait of Magellan have been incorporated, so as to give a continuous account of the whole coast from the River Plata to the Gulf of Guayaquil. Special arrangements for payment can be made for higher institutions of learning. Because of weight or size of some books, additional postage may be required.
