London: Science Museum, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1966. xv, 146p., presswork on alkaline clay-coated paperstock, illustrated in b&w with period photographs, author's sketches and a variety of diagrams, and a folded line map. Hardbound first edition in waxed red (Chinese red) buckram boards spine-titled in metallic red ink on a printed black field, and enclosed in the dust jacket. Book itself (great design) is fine: perfectly sound, clean and unmarked, while the dj is mildly edgeworn with a touch of foxing.
