About This Item
München: Ernst Reinhardt, 1924. 233p., illustrated with scattered b&w inserted plates on coated paperstock, softbound in 8x6 inch wraps; textblock and cover are rippled from exposure to damp and item handles rather stiffly. Text otherwise undamaged; however wraps are edgeworn and dust-soiled with faint general discoloration and a distinct stain to spine panel. Partially unopened: signatures were parted (very neatly) through p.120, but book's second half was left unopened, these signatures somehow more affected by ripple. A reading copy. Find ownership signatures (he signs twice) of Prof. Frederick Spiegelberg, American Institute of Asian Studies, San Francisco, California reference library plate (Spiegelberg Loan) on front endpaper. v.
