Each page has a humorous,large 3-color illustration, with the cover signed by C. Edmonds. Scarce.

London: Dean & Son, 11, Ludgatehill (sic), 1864 Yellow paper printed in red & black mounted to card, external wear, soil and small losses, previous owner's name dated 1864, a few corner bends and light finger soil, but a clean copy overall. A rare book of limericks, arranged alphabetically by place, about various people and their humorous quirks. Each verse is accompanied by an amusing illustration. Darton compares the artwork to Tenniel (specifically referencing his work from Through the Looking-Glass) and dates the book to 1864. (Children's Books in England pgs 266-7). . Card Covers.
