Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Co., Inc. , 1937. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR at half-title page -"For Mrs. Elkan Silberman with the best wishes and heartiest sympathy of Booth Tarkington 'Everything comes to him who waits.' Philadelphia, May 10, 1938". Booth Tarkington was quite knowledgeable about antiques and art, serving as a trustee of the John Herron Art Museum, and for years he corresponded with his favorite New York antique dealers, Elkan and Abris Silberman. He used the brothers as the basis for "Rumbin Galleries". A Very Good copy, lacking the dust jacket, spine darkened, cloth soiled with small tears at spine ends. A quite nice Tarkington Association Copy. . SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Association Copy.
