Thick 8vo. 591, (1, ad) pp. Illustrated from wood engravings, plates, two frontispieces, in-text illustrations. Howes C-481: "Valuable as an autobiographical chapter in the author's life and as a vivid portrayal of Nevada mining life in the '60s." BAL 3411. Joints starting to crack, but a very good copy. Publisher's "library" (i.e., sheep) binding, leather label and gilt rules on spine. (9687).
