Vol. 1 has a couple of bumped corners and very minor rubbing--some dustiness to the uncut page ends. Vol II is near fine with only a slightly darkened spine. Each has a miniature frontispiece--one of George Washington--which was contributed by Howard Pyle and "pupils"--each volume is profusely illustrated with dozens of nicely done illustrations. Revolutionary war story in very collectible condition--and from the Adrian and M.B. Goldstone collection.
