London: William Heinemann, 1922. First edition. Hardcover. Orig. cream cloth lettered in gilt. Near fine. Beerbohm, Max. VII pages in text. 26 x 19.5 cm. Limited edition, copy 315 of 380 (350 for sale), signed by Max Beerbohm. Twenty three tipped-in color plates on card stock with printed tissue guards, including the frontispiece. Beerbohm notes, "Byron, Disraeli, and Rossetti -- these seem to me the three most interesting men that England had in the nineteenth century, England had plenty of greater men." Bookplate, crisp copy, back cover a tinge mottled.
