London: Leonard and Virginia Woolf at The Hogarth Press, 1929. First trade edition. Jacket has major loss to spine (more than half) and is rather rubbed and chipped to front and rear. Some light warping, and discolouration to edges of terracotta coloured boards. Very slightly cocked, top closed edges a little dusty, bookplate and owner details to ffep, otherwise content clean and tidy.. Cloth. Good/Poor. 12mo.

Synopsis

A Room of One's Own was first published in October 1929 in the UK and USA alike as a limited edition run of 492 numbered, signed copies. The first English edition and impression was released three days later with the Vanessa Bell dust jacket, published by Hogarth Press, the Woolfs' own publishing house. The first US edition was published by Harcourt Brace & Co.
