London: Hogarth Press, 1929. 1st Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good. In brown cloth boards in good repair apart from some tiny paint spots to the cover and fading to the spine. This is a first printing of the first edition of Virginia Woolf's feminist essay. There is a dedication and signature in ink on the flyleaf and the pages are age tanned but it is a good tight clean copy.; 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall


A Room of One's Own was first published in October 1929 in the UK and USA alike as a limited edition run of 492 numbered, signed copies. The first English edition and impression was released three days later with the Vanessa Bell dust jacket, published by Hogarth Press, the Woolfs' own publishing house. The first US edition was published by Harcourt Brace & Co.
