San Francisco: Straight Arrow Publishers, 1968. Original wraps. Very Good +. A clean, well-preserved copy of the fragile --and very uncommon-- April 6th, 1968 issue, issue #8, with "Bloody Battle Rages in Monterey over Return of the Pop Festival" in a jarring headline just above a photo of Lou Adler and John Phillips. Evenly folded for shipping purposes but, happily, no shipping label. A bright, crisp example, easily VG+ while bordering on Near Fine. Just the slightest hint of light soiling to the rear panel and a light trace of creasing along the top edges, otherwise solid as could be. (The first 10 issues of Rolling Stone, all published within the first half-year of the magazine's November 9th, 1967 debut, are notoriously scarce, especially in such sharp condition).

Description:
San Francisco: Straight Arrow Publications, 1968. Original wraps. Very Good. A clean, bright copy of the fragile -and very uncommon-- February 24th, 1968 issue, issue #6, with a relaxed, smiling Janis Joplin on the front cover, just below the headlines: "Monterey Festival on Again; Rome Show Off". Evenly folded for shipping purposes but, happily, no shipping label. Solid and easily VG, with light chipping along the spine and a bit at the fore-edge as well. Still though, very presentable and well-preserved. At the foot of the front page, an article titled: "Bob Dylan Comes Out at Woody Memorial". (The first 10 issues of Rolling Stone, all published within the first half-year of the magazine's November 9th, 1967 debut, are notoriously scarce, especially in such sharp condition).
