Rockport, MA: The Rockport Eagle Newspaper Co, 1971. 29.5 x 44 cm. Weekly edition features front page photo of three kids on their way back to school: Anne and Susan Weld and Scott Weller. Story about Marie Murray, Activities Director at Den-Mar, by Elizabeth O'toole. Story about Schooner A. Piatt Andrew, named for a distinguised Gloucester citizen who was Secretary of the Treasury in 1912. Ship was captured and sunk by German U-Boat in 1918. Report of Selectmen's Meeting Sept. 9 states that Harbormaster has the right to move lobster pots which are interfering with navigation. Mrs. Elsa Danielson came in with complaint about noise from Camp Springfield, on former Burns Farm property. Overall Economic Development Committee of Cape Ann has appointees Robert Rapp, James Quinn and Frederick Tarr III. Newspaper, good. . Catalogs: Newspapers.
