London: Macmillan. Bound in blue cloth with gilt titles to spine, this hardcover dated 1937 is VG. 1X/341pp+2pp Publisher's adverts. With Frontis photo of Veramin: The Friday Mosque, 1922-26, and 15 other plates. Diary entries August 20th, 1933 to July 8th, 1934 in Five Parts.The journey as follows, Venice, Cyprus, Palestine, Irak, Persia, Afganistan, Persia again, Afganistan again, India and England. The spine is slightly sunned with several indistinct brown stains.Boards are minimally sunned at top and fore-edges in a straight line: the result of a bookcase with particular angle to the sun. Clean endpapers with bookplate of Sibyl and Arthur Colefax. Internally clean: would possibly be a candidate for rebinding into leather. General condition close VG . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1937.
