Description:
New York: Whittlesey House/ McGraw- Hill, 1932. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Signed by Author. Stated First Edition, 1932- no note of subsequent printings, same year on title page. SIGNED on half title page by author & dated December the 23rd, 1932. 281 pages, side edge of text block is rough- cut. No dustjacket. VG to VG+ condition. Light brown cloth binding clean & square w/ lightest rubbing, just a bit of edge wear. NO bumps, frays or sun. Black spine lettering crisp & intact. Gift inscription (last name of givers abbreviated M. M. and A. V. DuP.""- DuPont ? - author is noted as member of Delaware Bar on title page) from 1932 on front free endpaper- partially obscured by tipped in article (old), reprinted (NOT on newsprint) from 1937 Phila. Bulletin re: law books in Phila. Public Library. Article is pasted in at top of page only- neatly done, does not really detract, in my opinion. Text only very lightly toned; tight, clean, unmarked. Handsome copy, displays well.
