About This Item
Two related works by Lifka, bound together. Respectively 46p, 47-70p., with a huge plates section, 102 images in b&w and color exhibit photography. Plates and text are sewn into signatures and hardbound in 9x6 inch red cloth boards gilt. Unfortunately the fastening threads are coming loose, especially where plates meet text; we see no sign that any leaves have been lost, but several central leaves are bound upside down. Again, we see no omissions. Cloth casing is edgeworn and dusty, there's a generic bookplate on the pastedown, a fair-only reading copy. FYI, the color photos tend to be close-ups of vestment borders, the stitchery and thematic images.
