Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Magazine & Program with complete list of all acts for the 1949 season plus special articles by Bing Crosby and Spencer Tracy. Crosby, in "Clown For A Day," tells of fulfilling a childhood dream by performing as a circus clown in the recent Ringling benefit show in Hollywood for Saint John’s Hospital Guild. Tracy, in "The Power Of The Pass," recounts a story from his boyhood when he drove a hay wagon to deliver animal feed to a circus just arrived in town, and in return for work as a temporary circus hand earned a free pass to see that afternoon’s show. Numerous other circus related articles, plus beautiful full page color display ads for Coke, Jell-O, Shell Oil, Revlon, Ford and Chevrolet automobiles, Rice Krispies, Borden’s Dairy, and many cigarette brands, including a Chesterfield ad on the back cover featuring Bob Hope. Very Good Plus, light rubbing on the outer surface of the spine ridge. Clean, crisp, bright, glossy, no chips or tears.
