About This Item
JACKSON, Leroy F[reeman]. Rimskittle's Book. Pictures by Ruth Caroline Eger. Chicago: Rand McNally [1926]. 4to, [110]pp. Red cloth with spine stamped in gold and color pictorial paper label affixed to front. Pictorial endpapers in brown and white on yellow sheets; color illustrations on nearly every page. Spine ends a bit rubbed, corners lightly bumped, cover label slightly scratched, previous owner's name on front free endpaper, light diagonal crease across bottom half of sheets for roughly the first half the book (not obtrusive), else an internally clean, tight copy.
First edition, with code 25MA-26 on copyright page and featuring a cover label and pictorial endpapers illustrated by Milo Winter, while all textual illustrations are by Ruth Caroline Eger in a brightly colored style reminiscent of the art by Blanche Fischer Wright for The Real Mother Goose. A charming collection of children's rhymes, copiously illustrated.
