About This Item
n.p., [197-?]. Approximately 5x7 inch card in original envelope, envelope slightly worn, card still pristine. The front panel of the card has a cut-out, behind which, protected by a sheet of paper, is a small hand-painted naturalistic scene featuring three figures in the foreground, one holding a red flag. Your humble cataloger has examined three examples, all with tiny differences throughout the painting but at first glance remarkably consistent - obviously a product of the days when such detailed labor was very cheap. Produced for the export market; the reverse of the card has a faint inscription stating "Printed in the People's Republic of China GC-775.
