Faber and Faber, 1953 224 pages. Dustcover very worn and yellowed and ripped in places. Spine of dustcover has been torn and pieces missing. Edges of dustcover creased and bumped. Book cover has some marking and has some yellowing to insides. Previous owner's name and date has been written in ink on first page - and illegible note written in pencil on first page. Note written on inside of back cover, in pencil. Slight musty smell to pages. Pages yellowed with age and some foxing and staining to edges. Pages tightly bound. Condition consistent with age of book. Author's account of visiting Kenya and South Africa in 1952, what the journey meant to him, and what he found in his home country. . Hard Cover. Good/Poor.
