Hardcover. Little, Brown & Company (1949). First Edition Stated. Printed August 1949 stated on Copyright Page. Book is Very Good condition for its age. No dust jacket. Light Gray boards with red impression on front board and red block/black letters on spine. Board corners are square and sharp. Some bumping along top edge of front and rear boards. Some abrasion to acetate coating at top end of spine, not affecting spine performance. Curling of spine ends. Darkening of FFEP and RFEP, possibly due to glue used. Previous owner's name in ink on FFEP. Overall a good collectible. Photos available upon request. Shipped in a box with bubble wrap, and a tracking number.
Synopsis
Helen MacInnes (1907-1985) was the Scottish-born American author of 21 spy novels. Dubbed “the queen of spy writers”, her books have sold more than 25 million copies in the United States alone and have been translated into over 22 languages. Several of her books have been adapted into films, such as Above Suspicion (1943), with Joan Crawford, and The Salzburg Connection (1972).
