Colorado Springs, CO. Good. Cabinet card produced by Horace S. Poley, a photographer based in Colorado Springs, sometime between 1892-1901. Mount measures 6 ¾" x4 ¾" with the photo measuring about 1/8" smaller in each dimension. Large crease to bottom left corner, cracking both the photo and mount on the recto. Edges of mount are gilt. Verso has remnants of tape used to affix the mount to a book page. Markings from previous owner, collector R. A. Ronzio, on verso in marker. Title "Early day Cripple Creek" written in pencil on verso. Photo depicts a well in the foreground with many other structures in a valley surrounded by forested hills. ; 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" .

Very Good. Photograph. An albumen print boudoir card of the J. E. Campbell residence and attached Post Office in Palmer Lake, Colorado, circa 1890s. Light soil on mount. A woman in a rocking chair, a man standing next to her, and a hammock are visible on the front porch, with a hillside in the background. Photographer Horace S. Poley (1863-1949) established his photography studio in nearby Colorado Springs in 1892 after moving there in the 1880s. He became well known for his photographs across the West. ; B&W Photographs; 5" x 8" .
