London: His Majesty's Stationery Office, 1902. First Edition. Softcover. Fair. 4to 11" - 13" tall. Extremely scarce in the field, comprising a volume of reports in the original, true First Edition state, published in London for the King and his subjects throughout the Commonwealth. Presented to him and to the Parliament by Command of His Majesty. Previous owner's inscription, neatly rendered, via ink-stamp, at title page. Original publisher's printed blue wraps are missing, but bound inside larger blue card stock wrap, a bit sunned and mildly soiled. Reports from "Lt.-Col. W.H. Birkbeck, Assistant Inspector of Remounts, rendered to the Commander-in-Chief in South Africa," and then cables and telegrams and reports and despatches.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
