The 1839 1st edition, re-bound in a clean, institutional red cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the spine and new endsheets as well. The original text has held up nicely: clear and relatively clean on bright pages, with light, limited foxing. The 4 nicely-engraved plates at the rear are in solid condition as well. Octavo, 426 pgs.
