Hartford: printed by Hudson and Goodwin, 1810., 1810.. Fair. - Octavo, contemporary tan calf with a gilt-lettered leather label on the spine. The binding is rubbed & scuffed. The bottom corner of the rear cover is bumped & the edges of the cover are darkened. The spine is darkened with the leather dried out & cracking & the gilt lettering is partially rubbed away. xii & 274 pages and iv & 241 pages plus index. The front hinge is just starting. The pastedown, endpapers & rear blanks are foxed with occasional light foxing to the rest of the volume. There are small scraps of paper adhering to the pastedowns.There is a small black stain to the front endpaper & fore-edge with tiny stains to the front edges of a few pages. Good working copy.

"A New Edition, with Improvements. By Thomas Day."

From the library of Dutchess County, NY lawyer Stephen Eno with his signature dated 1811 and a notation on the front endpaper, additional signatures on the flyleaf & title, and his notes in the text and on the rear blanks & rear endpaper.
