New York: D. Appleton & Company. Good+. 1864. First Edition. Hardcover. Brown buckram library binding with gilt lettering on spine. The cover is clean and unworn. Binding sound. This is an ex-library book withdrawn by the US. Naval Academy library. There is a remnant of a due-date sheet on front free endpaper, some library markings in pencil on the first few pages, and pocket, due date slip, bar-code on rear endpapers The title page has a few short tears at edges. Pages are generally age toned at edges. The title page has moderate foxing and a minority of the pages have occasional foxing. Text pages appear to be free of markings. Were it not for the ex-library status this would be in VG condition. ; Ex-Library; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 624 pages .
