Nanjing: Ren sheng yin shu ju, 1934. 118p., hardcover, corners worn, covers toned; one fold-out page is split along the fold but both parts present. Collection of songs with musical notation. The editor, known in English as Theodore B. Tu, popularized Christian hymns in Chinese and is remembered as the translator of the English version of the national anthem of the Republic of China. This example is inscribed by Tu in English on the front endpaper to John. W. Nipps, who had been student secretary of the YMCA in Tianjin, and his wife.
