Three Volumes, Complete With All Half Titles, Frontispiece In Volume One, And Original Initial And Final Blanks, Edges Of Page Block Colored Blue. Original Tree Calf, Red Morocco Spine Labels For Author/Title And Small Round Volume Number Label. Additional Leaf H8 From Vol 2 Misbound At Beginning Of Text Of Volume 3, As Usual. Wear At Corners With A Little Fraying At Tips And At Top And Bottom Edges Of Joints, Bindings Sound. Ancient Ink Ownership Three Volumes In Full Tree Calf. Signatures Of Jane Walker On Titler Pages, Inked Over The Lighter Signatures Of Someone Else. There Is A Small Ownership Signature In Volume I Dated 1950. The Advertisement On Ix Ff States "These Volumes Are Now Restored To The Public With Such Corrections And Improvements As Have Occurred Since The Former Impression (The Third Edition); And The Text In Particular Has Been Emended In Many Passages By Recurring To The Old Copies. The Instances, Being Frequently Trivial, Are Not Always Noted In The Margin..." Etc.
