A good only copy.

Folio. 191pp., illustrated with magnificent illustrations by Dore whose marvelous depictions of the squalid metropolis and showing an underside described in part by Dickens and written both by Octavia Hill and General Booth were here made bold by the large size engravings with details that later reprints unfortunately had to reduce ending the boldness of his pen, rebacked and re-cornered in brown leather over original maroon cloth, raised bands with lettering gilt, marbled endpapers and all edges marbled, occasional scattered foxing but mostly clean. Rolleston, beautifully illustrated by Willy Pogany, each page illustrated in black often with accents or red, contains 16 tipped in color plates, pictorial endpapers accented in blue, red, tan and gray. A striking production of Wagner's dramatic poem of fantasy brilliantly illustrated by Pogany, bound in gray pictorial cloth accented in blue, black and gilt, spine gilt, some general finger soiling and rubbing. A very nice copy of this spectacular work.

Illustrated with a colour frontis and forty nine full colour plates, all mounted onto thick art paper pages at back of book, each one with a printed tissue guard. Decorative endpapers with map of Kensington Gardens. A near fine, bright and clean copy throughout in original russet cloth binding with gilt stamped decoration and lettering to front board and spine. Very minor rubbing to hinges and a small bump to the lower front board at the outer corner, but overall a beautiful clean copy of this classic. Among the very best of Rackham's work.

In the publisher's illustrated, futuristic cover, glassgraphed edition.The upper part of the cover with fragmentary losses has been preserved, trimmed. Traces of scotch tape on the cover and the sheet with the table of contents. Minor contamination. The corner of the sheet with the table of contents is lost. On the back of the upper part of the cover is the autograph of G. Zimin: "[not sorted] G. Zimin VI 25 year" On the top of the cover on the back is a stamped ex-libris: "From the books of Viktor Strazhev". The circulation is 100 copies . Copy No. 28.

My Sister Life was written in the summer before the 1917 October Revolution, it was very well received and established him as a genius of Russian poetry. The English translation was done by Mark Rudman. The acclaimed Russian born artist, Yuro Kuyper provides 6 etchings for the publication, printed on Hannemule paper in Paris. The paper used for the text was hand-made by H. M. P. Mill in Connecticut to resemble the sort of stock produced in 1920's Russia, even incorporating bits of Russain newspapers with rags and cotton pulp. The book is in near fine condition, with the only defect being some sunning to the spinea. The slipcase in VG or better, showing some sunning. The book is signed by Yuri Kuyper and this copy is #212 of 250. The original LEC invoice for $4000 laid in; Etching; Folio 13" - 23" tall; Signed by Illustrator .
