Part II - offers seven chapters continuing with Chapter V - Paul Morand: Un Prince orential a Cambridge University, Chapter VI - Blaise Cendrars: L'Egoutier de Londres, Chapter VII - Paul Morand: La Menace, Chapter VIII - Octave Feuiller: Charybde et Scylla, Chapter IX Saint-Exupery: Dans le desert, Chapter X - Pierre Mille: La Nef morte, Chapter XI - Paul Bourget: lettres de Londres. A section of Exercises and Vocabularies follow. The generous half-tone illustrations, photographs, etchings and old engravings add much to the text. The line drawings designed especially for this volume are the work of the artist John King. Endpapers make a two-page spread of "Carte De France". Name to ffep and prelim.
