About This Item

Winnipeg, Manitoba: Peguis Publishers Limited, 1978. In this collection of reminiscences the author depicts his early years in Roumania, and his experiences as a young newsboy in downtown Winnipeg in 1904-1911. It is also a story of those new Canadians and a picture of Winnipeg seventy years ago. The author's keen interest in pharmacy began as a delivery boy for the National Drug and Chemical Co. in 1911. This led to his graduation from the new school of pharmacy and his eventual ownership of three drug stores and the Wilder Drug Co, a wholesale operation. Twenty b/w photographs provided. Green cloth boards. Dust jacket is a drawing by Boyd Speer. An inspiring read. This lovely bright copy would be sure to please.. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine.
