Petrus Cunaeus was an early 17th-century Dutch scholar whose 'Hebrew Republic' is considered, according to Tuck, "the most powerful statement of republican theory in the early years of the Dutch Republic." (Tuck, 169)
"De Republica Hebraeorum" describes ancient Hebrew kingdoms and portrays it as the model of republican governments. This book was highly influential on the formation of the Dutch Republic, even though Cunaeus foresaw the Dutch government falling just as Rome did. Ultimately, Cunaeus sought for the book to instill tolerance toward 17th-century Jews through the publication of 'Republica.'

This 1696 edition features a charming full-page frontispiece.

Johann Nicolai was a 17th-century antiquities scholar who taught at the University of Tubingen. He studied a wide variety of topics, but none were more important than his contributions to Hebrew and Jewish tradition. In his book 'De Sepulchris Hebraeorum', Nicolai expertly describes the customs and manners of Jewish burial and funeral rites. This 1706 rare edition includes illustrated depictions of the burial processes as well as tombs and sepulchers used in the Jewish tradition.

A rare 18th-century Hebrew printing of the 'Sefer Ohel Mosheh' published in Zalkva, Ukraine. This exceedingly rare edition of Hebrew scripture text includes notes and commentary by Zalkva Rabbi Moshe Ben-Zvi Hirsh. More commonly known as Zhovkva today, Zalkva housed an important Jewish printing house from which this sefer was published.
This particular sefer discusses the use of Hebrew language and grammar in conjunction with scripture.
Worth noting, the town of Zalkva was under Nazi occupation during World War II, and nearly all of the 4500 Jewish residents were sentenced to extermination camps and the Jewish synagogue was destroyed.

A rare 17th-century Hebrew / Latin lexicon and Old Testament concordance.

Originally started in 1607, Johann Buxtorf began working on a Hebrew lexicon. However, this work was one of the few works of his that had to be completed by other writers, mainly his son. This dictionary was published multiple times throughout the next two centuries and would become the basis for many 19th-century Hebrew concordances. This work serves as a reference tool for Old Testament research particularly the Pentateuch.

This 1789 Rome edition was published in four volumes by Zempel.

Antoine Augustin Calmet was a 17th-century French Benedictine monk who is most remembered today for his commentary and notes on the Bible. This commentary was highly regarded, not just by Catholics but by Protestants as well. Calmet's commentary created new ways of biblical interpretation, new methods of exegesis, and individual prefaces to each book. Interestingly, he vehemently avoided using metaphysical and mystical interpretations of scripture.
