Book itself has a little rubbing to top and base of spine. Internally, generally very clean, but has some smoke damage to the top edge of the initial pages, and to the bottom closed page edge. Overall a very useable copy, enhanced by the author's signature. Profuse facsimiles and illustrations throughout.
