Whitman Publishing Division, Racine, Wisconsin, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Michael Lowenbein. 212 pages, last two pages further Whitman publications. Illustrated endpapers, being a sketch of the four main characters out of the " Rat Patrol ", cameo illustration against a brown background. The text is illustrated with brown and white drawings by Michael Lowenbein. Illustrated front cover, showing a coloured drawing of the characters out of The Rat Patrol. Black and maroon writing on the front panel and spine. On the spine there is a small black and white television screen and around that screen other words " Authorised Adventure ". Bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the spine. Heavy bumping and rubbing to the book corners to the point where the top book corners have underlying board showing. Heavy rubbing along the top book edge and the front one third of the front fore edge of the book and the top edge of the back panel. The cover is also rubbed and quite grubby. Heavy browning to the paper edges. Browning to the internal pages. An authorised novel based on the sixties television series -- The Rat Patrol. A group of long-range saboteurs/commandos, for the Allies, during World War II in the Libyan desert. This is the First USA Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
