Hardcover. 128 pp. The Viking Press, New York (1944). Later Printing of a children's classic. 13th printing, in 1972, per Printer's Key on CP. Bright, clean copy in Near Fine condition. Only marking is PO gift inscription on pictorial FFEP. Boards straight and square, spine ends softened but intact. DJ is unclipped and has Newbury Award medal on front cover. DJ has minor edgewear at corners and spine; and one small closed tear. More photos on request. Shipped in a box within a box, in bubble wrap, with a tracking number.
