Spiral_bound. 158p., illustrated with period photographs, softbound in 11x8.5 inch copyshop wraps comb-bound under green cover-sheets titled black. A perfect, unmarked copy. Peasant life amongst Catholic serfs under big thumbs: indifferent landholders and doctrinaire clergy. Subject immigrated to US in 1907. Author Harris, granddaughter, wrote first half in Madison, was halted by ill health and holocaust overwhelm, was able to proceed and complete the story after relocating.
