In the early 1800's Charles Roy makes the decision to become an Anglican, and the family tree becomes French Protestant. Andrew grows up in the rectory of Holy Trinity Church in Lévis, where his father is the clergyman. After the RCAF, he goes into teaching and eventually returns to Québec City to work in English Protestant Education at the Provincial level. As a member of the Superior Council of Education, he is able to understand and observe the Quiet Revolution from within, and to do his best for Québec schools in the ever-changing times."
