The binding is sound. In this masterful biography, the author examines the major tenets of puritanism as they were developed and fought for by its chief practitioner and preacher, John Bunyan. The previous owner had protected the book with plastic held down by tape, and after a number of years, the tape aged, and gave up leaving brown marks on the verso (back) of the dust jacket.
