Contains black & white, colour illustrations & plates. Pen inscription to half title page. Noticeable pencil scribbling to front pastedown. Pages are mildly foxed & tanned throughout. Severe cracking to gutters However, boards & pages throughout remain attached. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends.

Well printed on coated paper and featuring 36 fantastic full page color illustrations and 24 full pages illustrated in blue line as well as pictorial endpapers. Quite scarce.

London: John Swain & Co. Bound in green cloth, with coloured paste down front panel featuring Bonzo. Size is 5 and 1/2" by 6 and 1/2", hardcover with green cloth backstrip. Pages not numbered, but features 36 full page colour plates and three separate stories, i.e. Puppy Tales, Box of Tricks and Lucky Dip. Each story has its own title-page. Also, collection of blue line drawings, also featuring Bonzo and other animals. One or two small stains, and one small hole in two pages, at the story,"Rabbits I Believe". Corners slightly worn and bumped, colour illustrated endpapers; very neat inscrip, dated 1930. Minor rubbing top/tail of spine. A rare survival close to VG. (See photo) . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1930.
