Preface by editor, introduction by Wallace C. Wurth, appendices, book lists and index. Dark red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Plain text dustwrapper with brown coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. "The purpose of this book is to outline the workings of Australian government administration at Commonwealth, State and local Liberal, and to discuss some of the problems of organisation and management that arise in these fields." -- from the front panel blurb. Inserted loosely into the book is a piece of paper with, the Public Service Board, Sydney New South Wales, header, stating "With the Compliments Wallace C. Wurth, Chairman, Public Service Board", who wrote the introduction to the book. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. A little chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Sunning, handling marks and stains to the dustwrapper. Chipping to the top dustwrapper edge, rear panel with some small tears to the lower edge of the same panel. Second Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [5], 6-502 pages,.
